Microbarium is an iPhone game about cleaning your screen. By downloading or using it, you agree to these terms.

Your licence

Microbarium is licensed, not sold, to you. Your use of the app is governed by Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement, which you can read here: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. These terms add to it; where the two conflict, Apple's agreement wins.

Microbarium Pro subscription

What it is. An optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks longer cleaning sessions, the full microbe collection, and the Pro-only features described on the purchase screen.
Length and price. The subscription renews monthly. The exact price is shown on the purchase screen before you buy, in your local currency, and may differ by region.
Free trial. New subscribers may be offered a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription automatically. One trial per Apple ID.
Renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Payments and refunds. All purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details and cannot issue refunds ourselves — refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

What the app is not

Microbarium is entertainment. The Gunk level, the microbes and the collection are a game — they are not a measurement of anything on your screen and are not a health, hygiene or medical claim. The app cannot see your screen and does not detect real dirt or germs.

Clean your phone sensibly: follow your device maker's cleaning guidance. We are not responsible for damage caused by liquids, harsh cleaners or rough materials used on your device.

Fair use

Please do not attempt to reverse-engineer the app, work around purchases, or use it in a way that breaks the law. We may stop providing the app or any of its features at any time.

Availability

We do our best to keep the app working, but it is provided "as is". Features may change or be removed in future updates. If a change materially reduces what an active subscription includes, we will say so in the release notes.

Privacy

How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
